Very pleased with the service from Estelle who booked us to Steve who worked solid through a day of rain and even came back on Sunday to pickup a few items that didn’t fit, he took ownership and did a solid on a day off. Nev and Thomas are an absolute asset to this company. They were so friendly and helpful during the uplift and took such great care of my items. They both checked with me multiple times about items to move and their communication was fantastic. I hope I get them both again on another moving job! Estelle on the phone in reception also a lovely helpful lady, always answered my questions.

I had this company booked for uplift on a Monday as I was due to fly out of the city at 9am on the Tuesday. I was told I would receive a call the day before to advise of pick up time though never received a call (I assumed this was because it was a Sunday). Monday comes around and at 9am I call them asking what time they will arrive. They advised 1pm. I sat and waited and at 2pm called again with no answer. I called multiple times both the driver and the company. The company answered at 3:30pm and advised they would contact the driver. I called multiple times again with no answer. At 4:45pm they finally answered my call and I was told that they would not be coming today. No reason why was given initially though I later found out that the truck had broken down 4 hours ago and no one had bothered to contact me to tell me this. I asked what the plan was/when I would expect something to be arranged and they had absolutely no plan just told me they wouldn’t be there for atleast 3 more days and longer if they couldn’t fix the problem with the truck. There was no apology, no attempt at helping me sort this out at all as I needed to be out of the house by the following day. Super super disappointed. Worst customer service ever. I was lucky that I had used a service to book them and the service found us another company to do the uplift the following day. I would never recommend this company to anyone and hope this review helps others.

Huge shoutout to Rodney and Norman from Hornick's Furniture Removal in Mackay. They made yesterday's move a total breeze. Arriving on time and working full steam ahead all day. Norman's chatty banter had me in stitches while Rodney packed like a Tetris Champion. 5 stars for these blokes. Impressive job, Thank you.

To anyone considering using Hornicks, I would strongly advise against it, they are not a good company and they have no concern for the customer once they have been paid. They arrived four hours late on the day of our move. They didn't have the correct equipment to carry out the move. They only had two guys on the job for a full house move. They had to call their boss twice to get more blankets and protection delivered to the site. By the end of the day, I was opening our boxes and asking them to use our blankets and bedding just to avoid any more delays. We paid for our artwork and tvs to be placed in boxes, however they didn't have the boxes, so all our art and TVs were wrapped in blankets and sheets and stored between mattresses and other boxes. When delivered, we have found our 85" TV is broken along with two chairs. And despite our notifying them, Hornicks have taken no responsibility for the poor workmanship and have walked away leaving us out of pocket.
