What really stood out was their attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile-nothing felt like too much trouble. Harry & Sandy were class acts. No job was too difficult for them, including managing to get a heavy fridge down some tricky stairs. Glad I had them assigned to the job and would recommend again!

Absolutely unacceptable experience – avoid at all costs. We booked Melbourne Cheap Movers (Job ID 32935) for what should have been a straightforward 2-bedroom move. Instead, the job was dragged out unnecessarily with excessive delays and time-wasting, resulting in two trips where only one should have been required. The most concerning part: the drivers refused to unload the truck unless full payment was made upfront, which is completely unprofessional and felt like being held to ransom. After negotiating remotely, the agreed price was reduced from $907 to $620 — but even then, they still refused to complete the job properly. Once paid, they unloaded only part of the items and left the remainder in the garage. This is not just poor service — it’s unacceptable conduct. I strongly recommend anyone considering this company to think twice. There are far more professional and trustworthy operators out there.

I cannot recommend this moving service. Despite having paid my deposit, I discovered the job hadn’t even been properly scheduled. This forced us to delay our move by an entire day. When the movers finally arrived, the pace was incredibly slow. To make matters worse, once the job was finished, we found permanent damage to both our fridge and bedframe.

If I could rate them zero stars, I would. We booked our move for Sunday 29/03/26 at 12:00 PM. That morning, a family member had a medical emergency. When I called to postpone, the staff member told me I would be charged a two-hour call out fee (~$300 AUD). Because that is a significant amount of money, we decided to push forward despite the circumstances. At 12:40 PM, they called to say they would be delayed by three hours due to difficulties with their first job. I didn't make a fuss initially, but by 4:20 PM, they were still a no show. I had to call them again, only to be told it would be another hour. They finally showed up at 5:40 PM. To rub salt in the wound, when I raised these issues with the woman on the phone, she offered a $10 discount to "calm things down." The stress of moving while a family member is in the hospital is apparently only worth ten dollars to this company. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told no one works on Sundays. I requested contact information for management, but she refused to provide anything. I agree with the other one star reviews: their service is a shambles, poorly managed, and unnecessarily stressful. I would not recommend them.

Our experience with Melbourne Cheap Movers was a masterclass in disorganisation! Our move was originally booked for a 12pm to 2pm arrival window. This was later pushed back to 2pm to 4pm (they did not call to let us know we had to chase them up), and after waiting throughout that revised window, we received another call at 4pm advising there would be a further 45 minute delay. This meant we had effectively lost most of the day waiting, with ZERO proactive communication or accountability. When we attempted to cancel due to the repeated delays, we received persistent phone calls pushing us to proceed with the booking. The compensation offered for the inconvenience was $10 off per hour, which did not adequately reflect the four hours of disruption caused. Unfortunately, the issues did not end there. During the move, our TV unit and bed frame were chipped, and our brand new mattress was stained despite being wrapped in plastic. This demonstrates a concerning lack of care in handling peoples belongings. Overall, the service was shambles, poorly managed, and unnecessarily stressful. Would not recommend :)

They kept a positive energy throughout the move, even with some heavy lifting and tight spaces. It made what is usually a stressful day feel smooth and completely hassle-free. Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with their service. They were fast, careful, professional, and reliable from start to finish. I would definitely recommend Cris and Jordan to anyone looking for trustworthy movers, and I wouldn’t hesitate to book them again for my next move.
