I am an artist, so my freight was primarily artwork and personal belongings, no furniture. Dealing with international freight movers was more drama and stress than relocating my two cats. My USA movers informed me while they were loading boxes of my belongings onto their truck that I would be responsible for acquiring movers in Melbourne to pick up my freight - 3 crates, 1 pallet. I had been of the understanding that I was paying for door to door shipping. I literally could not find anyone in Melbourne who would pick up the phone or answer emails, or if they did answer emails it would be nonsense and misinformation. Jas from Vicmovers picked up the phone! He informed me that normally he doesn't pick up international calls as it's usually spam, but because I had literally just emailed Vicmovers about my situation, he figured it was the same person - smart. I got more information about how international freight shipping works in that one phone call with Jas than I did from other movers whose services I had employed. And he was kind enough to ask me what time it was in New York City, (12AM), and to wish me a good nights sleep. The next two months there was a lot of back and forth between all the entities involved, and Vicmovers was on top of everything all the time. Every day in the final week before the delivery Jas and Amar were working on trying to find out if the freight had been cleared so they could book a pick up time from the dock. They were trying to schedule their other work around my freight and dealing with all the delays from the dock. For instance the shipping container arrived on the 11th July as planned, but clearance of my freight didn't occur until 22nd July - 8 business days, even though I was initially told it would be 3-4 days. Vicmovers, particularly Jas were emailing and calling me all the time, and worked so hard to make the process smooth. There were hiccups along the way and more money exchanged hands, but that's the deal with international shipping, it's a moving target, and a pretty intense process, there a lot of unknowns during the process. Jas and Kamran delivered my freight precisely on the day that it was cleared. They were fantastic, careful, mindful and a pleasure to be around. Please do yourself a favour and don't bother with other moving companies, Vicmovers will get the job done, they are the best. They are extremely experienced and understand how to navigate this tricky kind of freight pickup and delivery.
Great experience very helpful and efficient would highly recommend no damage to any items put everything where it needed to go and was very patient with my grandson who wanted to help and wants to know when he will see them again they are best friends now 😊

Jazz and Amar were everything you could ask for with professional movers. They were considerate and answered all my questions. They were very clear about the pricing and what we are to expect. On the day they even let me know move some boxes with them to ensure a quick and efficient loading time. I was concerned that we would not fit everything but they must be masters at Tetris because they got everything in with room to spare. Nothing was damaged! Even my 86inch flatscreen tv that i was concerned about. Once they arrived at my new place they were constantly asking me where I would like items unloaded too which surprised me as most movers would just dump everything in the garage and move on.
