Movee

I chose to move with Movee because of the value-add they offered; they said they would disassemble my desks, bed, wrap the matress and reassemble onsite. The morning of the move, I get a call from one of the removalists asking for job information because he hadn’t been told anything from hq. When the two guys arrived to start they also had no idea that they were to disassemble the bed so they didnt have any tools; I had to unpack a bunch of boxes to find my tool kit for them to use (not something you want to be doing on the day of the move). They also never wrapped my matress. I’m not sure if these guys were professional movers, because they didn’t pack the big ticket items first and ran out of room. For reference the person I spoke to on the phone when booking told me to book a 4tonne truck (having just given him a detailed description of the items in my apartment) as I was moving a two bedroom apartment. I’m just glad I gave myself an extra week cross over between properties because I then had to ferry my 55inch tv, computer chairs, portable aircon, large pot plant and a whole bunch of boxes over the course of the week (I was moving from a second floor apartment without a lift to a single story house and it’s 40min between properties). When they reassembled my bed at the new place they attached the built in bedside table upside down. When I went to fix it I also notice that some of the main screws weren’t even in properly. They also put the computer desk leg on backwards. I ended up having to disassemble everything and reassemble it so it wasn’t really a value-add in the end. Ended up paying through the nose for this move because they ended up taking all day and well into the night. Moving is already stressful enough but this was horrific. The only reason I’m giving them two stars and not one is because the guys on the job didn’t complain at all even though it was a bad situation.

Stay away from Movee removalists they are probably the worst company to use I used them in December 2024 to move from Roxburgh park to craigieburn not only where they lazy they dragged out unloading the truck to stretch the time to the point we had to climb into the truck and start unloading it ourselves. had to repeatedly ask them to hurry up they put everything in the garage would not take anything upstairs sat around talking on my time refused to attempt to get the fridge upstairs told me I would need a crane ( I got it upstairs with 2 mates ) then charged me $1000 for the job absolute rip off will never use them again and advise anyone else thinking about using them you are better off going somewhere else or doing it yourself. myself my wife and my neighbour had to help them unload the truck and load it. STAY AWAY FROM MOVEE

If I could give this company negative five stars, I absolutely would. From start to finish, my experience with Movee was an absolute disaster. The team arrived late without so much as an apology, and didn’t even bother introducing themselves. From the moment they walked in, it was clear there was zero professionalism. Instead of getting on with the job, they spent an embarrassing amount of time on their phones, slacking off while we were being charged by the hour. The pace of work was unbelievably slow, it honestly felt deliberate. Simple tasks like disassembling furniture and carrying items to the truck were dragged out for as long as possible, clearly inflating the final cost. To make matters worse, they caused a massive hole in the wall during the move and outright refused to take responsibility or offer any solution. Trying to resolve the issue afterward was even more frustrating. The removalists went completely MIA, no responses to calls, no accountability whatsoever. When I contacted head office, I was met with nothing but incompetence. I was passed from person to person with no clear answers, and communication was nearly impossible to understand. No one seemed willing or able to actually help. On top of all this, the billing practices are completely unacceptable. There were hidden fees that were never disclosed upfront, and unbelievably, they withdrew money from my account before the job was even completed. When I questioned this, I was told the removalist had estimated a five-hour job which is laughable given how little actually needed to be moved. This company is dishonest, unprofessional, and completely lacks integrity. The level of customer service is beyond appalling. I strongly believe they should be reported to the appropriate governing bodies for their deceptive practices. Do yourself a favour and stay FAR, FAR away from Movee. This was one of the worst service experiences I’ve ever had.

The guys arrived at the appointed time and efficiently loaded the truck, for the three drop off points we had confirmed. We were a little late arriving at the final meeting point, but they waited patiently for us. They moved in our washing machine and even offered to connect it for us. Overall, an excellent experience. The only quibble was that we were promised a call when the driver was en route, but this did not happen. Fortunately, we were ready for them.

This is a scam. They charged me $907 after quoting me 75 for 30 mins plus 30 mins travel time. It took 3 hrs. The bill showed hidden costs like labor: 150 per person per hour and extra travel time. They gave me a reciept for $400 after I payed the 907. The guy left bolts and screws behind when he dissembled the bed. He then wouldnt put the bed back together after it said they assemble and reassemble. He said he couldnt do it. He said they cant move the couch because there are spiders on it. There were no spiders, it had just been in the garage. Useless.

Wouldn't rate these guys at all worst experience!! And now as a result I have a damaged clothes dryer has a huge dint and has come apart on one side and fridge is now dinted as well! You guys should be ashamed of your service and workers! And you should be compensating people for the damaged goods!!!

We couldn't be more disappointed with the men who came to help us with our move. They were 2.5 hours late, one man hardly did any work, the other one was slow and our daughter's partner did most of the work, loading the truck, and unloading at the other end, in the dark. They tried to charge us an extra hour, and started hassling us for payment even before arriving at the drop off home. They would not leave until payment was made, and they harrassed us all via face to face, email and constant phone calls. I gave 1 star because I couldn't leave the review without it. They also dropped the clothes dryer when loading it on the truck, and dinted our fridge.
