Kent Removals & Storage

Wish we had never used Kent to move interstate from Sydney to Adelaide. We should have used Grace whose quote was very similar - although Kent quote their insurance costs in such a way that you might think they are less costly. We paid an additional $850 to have four large pieces of artwork crated for extra protection. Instead Kent wrapped them in plastic sheets. No corner protection, no padding, no care. All four pieces of artwork arrived significantly damaged. We called Kent. Someone took the details over the phone and that is the last customer care conversation we had with Kent. We received an email with a link to fill out an insurance claim and confirmation that they would refund the $850 (which they did). No call to explain or apologise. The artwork is under repair- $6000 cost which has been covered by Kent insurance. However the repairs cannot be guaranteed and there is risk that the damage may not be eliminated - in which case we are stuck with damaged artwork. Kent sent us a survey for feedback which we completed with a low rating. Hey presto they called us. Wanted to know why the low rating and what could they do to compensate us. We asked could they cover the $500 excess charge for the insurance as we didn’t think it was fair that we had to pay it. They said they would check and get back to us. Of course they didn’t because in reality, they couldn’t have cared less. In addition to the artwork, our leather sofa arrived with black marks - luckily we were able to clean and remove the stains. Our dining table arrived with chips/nicks in the wood. Just the worst experience we have ever had after paying many thousands of dollars.

I highly recommend Kent Removals and Storage. The whole process was great from start to finish. Bianca was professional and understanding of a person who had not moved for 40 years. She and the Customer Servicers were willing to adjust inventory when needed. Much appreciated. I can not praise the moving team of Josh, Will and Cody highly enough. They were courteous friendly and accommodating at all stages. Could not be more satisfied Rima Lloyd.

Moving from Canberra to the South-East SA, we had problems with anything. All our Artwork, antique furniture and gear arrived in the state at which we sent it. Tony, Andre and Maurice were fantastic. They arrived at time they said, were happy putting boxes in shed, rooms and never a complaint when I suddenly swapped something to the shed. They were an absolute delight and worked really well as a team. I would highly recommend them.

From first contact with the Kent Melbourne office, to the delivery of our furniture was straight forward and made so much easier than anticipated. Damien Singers was great to work with when planning the move. The teams who packed up our furniture in Victoria and delivered the items in SA were efficient and very helpful. Thank you to Baz, Zac and Matty - I would recommend Kent removals because of the excellent service provided.

Josh, Jordan and Christian packed up our house with amazing efficiency. I liked how collaborative and respectful they were with each other, especially when they solved any 'fit' problems. Highly recommend this company and team. Also thanks Bianca for the excellent pre-service on quoting!

I rarely do Google reviews, but today I’m making an exception. If I could give the team of Carina, Baz and Zac ten stars, I would. Professional and caring about my stuff in every way. Attentive to detail. And on top of that, great to get along with, and welcome guests in my home. Thanks for making today’s uplift enjoyable and memorable. 😃

Brandon, Carina and Dale were on time, polite and friendly. Communication was fantastic, and they actively sought to resolve the issue relating to the move of a large item of furniture. They worked tirelessly and into the dark, in a delivery location that was not ideal, and all my furniture and boxes were delivered to the location they needed to go. The care taken with my items and the professional way in which they moved and communicated made the moving process far less stressful. Special thanks to Carina, Brandon and Dale for move Pt 1. Andre, Antonio and Diego undertook move Part 2, in the same professional, communicative and helpful manner. They are masters of Tetris, somehow managing to fit everything into both my container and my home, another move that concluded post-sunset. They masterfully unloaded the piano and delivered via the unconcreted drive and paths, and up into my new home, taking meticulous attention to not damage floors, placing the caster cups under the piano legs and ensuring that the piano was perfectly positioned where I wanted it. After almost 12 hours, their smiles, cheerfulness and professionalism never waned. Thanks so very much Andre, Antonio and Diego - amazing! Thanks also to Bianca who visited and quoted on the move.
