CBD Movers Perth

3.9(1238 reviews)·Perth

CBD Movers Perth's review sample is dominated by serious, recurring complaints: damage to fridges and washing machines blamed on unpadded trolleys, quotes that tripled once a job was under way, subcontracted crews reviewers describe as inexperienced or slow, and several accounts of furniture withheld or extra payment demanded before belongings were released. Multiple reviewers also describe persistent, unwanted follow-up calls after an initial enquiry. Against this, a smaller number of reviews describe an affordable, convenient service with a friendly, careful crew, and one reviewer credits management with eventually stepping up to agree compensation after an initially poor experience, even though the first response was frustrating. Given how frequently the negative pattern recurs across the sample, anyone booking should confirm pricing, liability and timing in writing well before moving day. As a removalist in Perth, CBD Movers Perth holds a 3.9-star average from 1238 Google reviews.

Scammers! Do not use . The job was not completed on the day it was booked 13/7/2026, we received false information about the status of the booking, and the work was instead carried out the following day. The small job took from approximately 9:30am until 7:00 pm 8-9 HOURS to complete, despite the staff having very little knowledge or experience. They were not professionals. Dragging out the work for the whole day slow paced The only items that needed to be disassembled were two long tables, yet it took two staff members almost eight hours to complete the task. They were using manual screwdrivers rather than appropriate tools, and the pace of work was extremely slow and inefficient. The level of service provided was completely unacceptable. We were charged over $1,000 for moving 2 desk, small cabinet and office chairs- it took them a full day. Do not recommend!! SCAMMERS!

Initial service was subpar, but management stepped up to make it right (Updated from 1 to 3 stars). My moving day was initially disappointing. The service felt overpriced for the quality delivered, and some of my furniture was damaged due to careless handling. Furthermore, the guarantees promised in their emails didn't align with their actual fine print. When I first raised these issues, the initial customer service response was unhelpful and frustrating. However, I want to give credit where it is due. Management eventually stepped up, took the matter seriously, and reached out to resolve the situation. We have now settled on an agreed compensation amount for the damages. While the initial experience was stressful and shouldn't have required so much back-and-forth, I genuinely appreciate that they took ultimate responsibility. Because they made things right, I am revising my rating from 1 to 3 stars.

I need to make a public statement about my experience with CBD Movers. I am proceeding with both legal action and immigration action against them. They sent workers with no valid working visa in Australia, caused damage to my goods, and engaged in threats and extortion. They charged me double what was originally quoted and tried to hold my furniture ransom. Their customer service was completely negligent—they were complicit in the scam. I will use every resource I have to pursue this. In the span of just 2 hours, I was charged $730—and they didn’t even load the truck; my housemates and I had to do it. Then, when they returned, they demanded another $600 just to release our furniture. I am giving them 24 hours to return my money and pay for the damages. Otherwise, I will take further action. I want the public to be aware of this appalling behavior

If you're looking for a moving company that specialises in suspense, this is the one for you. We booked for 10am and were advised the movers would arrive sometime between 10am and 2pm. What they didn't mention was that they meant 6pm... in the dark. By the time they arrived, our 16 month old was ready for bed, our house was empty, and we were wondering whether our furniture had started a new life elsewhere. Not exactly the stress-free moving experience we had envisioned. To top it off, we still paid full price for the privilege. Well, almost full price they generously knocked $5 off the bill. Thanks guys, now we can almost afford a coffee to recover from the ordeal. In all seriousness, the workers themselves seemed exhausted, which makes me wonder whether they're being worked into the ground by unrealistic scheduling. If reliability, communication, and sleeping in your own bed on moving day are important to you, I'd suggest looking elsewhere. 🤪

In 2026 they weren't good. Change of ownership since 2020 when they were good. Charged more than the estimate, charged us for their lunch break. They damaged our dryer (expensive) when we asked for assistance with warranty they argued so much and refused to help saying we didn't have proof. Now we will have to go to consumer protection which is a headache. They dropped something in front of us and didn't even acknowledge it or apologize which was bizarre. Maybe good people in a tough industry but hey should have helped us with the insurance issue because it was an expensive dryer :(

SCAM This was, without question, the worst moving experience I have ever had - and I’ve moved every 1-2 years for the past decade. I genuinely do not understand how this company is still operating. 1) They estimated the move would take 4 hours, and quoted accordingly. It took SEVEN hours. To avoid the job dragging on even longer, my husband - who has a chronic illness - ended up carrying many of the heaviest items himself while we paid these movers to move at a glacial pace. 2) The truck they brought was far too small for the job, meaning they had to do TWO trips. This was clearly a failure of planning on their part, yet we were the ones forced to pay for the extra time. 3) The movers worked unbelievably slowly. I have never seen anything like it. They seemed completely unconcerned that they were charging by the hour. At times they would carry a single tiny item at a time - literally one lampshade. It felt less like a professional moving service and more like watching people deliberately stretch a job out for maximum profit. 4) They broke two pieces of furniture and never mentioned it. We discovered the damage ourselves afterwards. 6) They also smashed a glass panel in an interior door and again said absolutely nothing. 5) They dented the wall in the rental property we were vacating. 6) They repeatedly ignored instructions about where items should go. I would direct them clearly, only to have them dump things somewhere else or outright ignore what I had said. 7) It was raining during the move, and they placed our wooden furniture directly onto a wet, dirty lawn outside. In the end, I paid roughly DOUBLE the quoted amount for a service that was careless, inefficient, dishonest, and utterly unprofessional. The entire experience was so absurd it would almost be funny if it hadn’t cost us so much money and stress. It genuinely felt like satire — except we were the ones paying for it. I would never use this company again and would strongly warn others to stay away.

Arrived ahead of scheduled time by giving the call. Moved the stuff patiently. Slight more experience that crew would gain in the packing of complex appliances such as large television would and locking the washing machine suspension could make it from 4 stars to 5
