Platinum Furniture Removals

We recently moved and this is the second time in 2 months. Both times we had Platinum Removals and we couldn't be happier. Tony the driver was excellent both times and the first time he had Jake as his assistant. What a combination they were. Jake just about ran the whole time and they both handled everything with care. This last move Tony had Dillon as his assistant and he was also very efficient. All of them were very friendly and caring and we couldn't have been happier. Their rates are also very competitive. Found out that they don't take anything that isn't in a big box, which would have been great to know first. Move was good, then foundout that one of the workers removed the screen off my cross trainer and left it in a house we where moving out of. They didn't tell me about it until I asked 3 weeks later, to be told they didn't want to damage it. Went to old house to be told it was removed from the house when they moved in. Tried to talk to Platinum about this but get very little back, haven't even heard a sorry about that and what can we do to help. So before you pay the bill, check to see if all your belongings have been delivered to your new place.

Avoid at all cost! We've moved a lot over the years, including interstate & overseas, & theses guys are hands down the worst removalist company we've ever dealt with. They took forever to move us, kept disappearing on breaks, damaged or destroyed pretty much all furniture, left numerous items behind. We only realised at the new address as they were unpacking, the truck was only half full, plus they charged a fortune for the pleasure. To add insult to injury, We later found poo & pee all over the laundry toilet & floor, from when they'd both used the loo, right next to the gear to clean the toilet & house. Awesome right!

I called Platinum Furniture Removalists multiple times on the phone and also text. Very hard to talk with Rory who didn't return phone calls or texts when asked for. The phone number goes through to an answering service. I had a booking that was confirmed, however due to other circumstances Rory knew about we spoke about the possibility that the booking may be pushed back to the following week. Rory confirmed that was fine and on the evening before the move I called and let him know we couldn't do it. We discussed possible dates for the following week with Rory giving me availability. Tried calling back several times, also texting several times to give Rory the new date. I finally got through after several attempts over 2 days and was told the date we discussed was available to which I said book it. During the Christmas break no confirmation came through and I was unable to communicate about such an important booking. The week of the move I tried calling again and again getting an answering service. No phone call back, simply a text from Rory saying now booked out for the whole week. I am currently paying $300 a day for storage fees which Rory fully knew about and he has failed to make good on our arrangement. I now face a cost of $2000+ due to Rory failing to properly communicate, failing to return phone calls and texts, failing to honour a booking made. I have documented all correspondence. To say I am furious is an understatement and to do this to somebody over Christmas and new years is incredibly unprofessional. I have tried without success to engage another removalist company, however at this time of year and at such short notice this is simply not possible. Having fully knowledge of my circumstances I find actions by Rory despicable as he was fully aware of the charges I faced every day the move was delayed and the importance of meeting the date we spoke about. I am appalled that there is no such thing as professionalism, respect, decency or somebody's communication meaning anything at all in today's society. Yes my circumstances were unusual however I have been nothing but open and transparent throughout all of this and thought Rory would be also. Sadly he hasn't been and has really topped of a terrible 2020 and left me in an absolute mess, both financially and emotionally. Thanks mate!

DISHONEST AND UNPROFESSIONAL REMOVAL COMPANY!!! I do not recommend using!!! They confirmed their quote with us and then on the morning of the removal before doing the job they ring us and try to charge us for an entire day instead of the 2 hours booked and then they charged our credit card $300 over what their quote said and we have rung them 8 times to try talk to the manager and still no answer. Super dodgy and dishonest. Really disappointed as they looked so trustworthy.

Platinum Removals were very good at moving us from the Sunshine Coast to Brisbane. We had a very large move over two days. All the staff were very careful and attentive - not a single breakage. We recommend them to everybody.

I want to thank Rory and Nathan for making my removal so seamless and easy. They arrived on time, were very professional and understanding. From the first contact with Rory it was evident that he takes pride in what he does. The removal was excellent from start to finish. I would strongly recommend Platinum Furniture removals to anyone.
