Shaun Frater Removals PTY Ltd.

Shaun Frater Removals Pty Ltd is a furniture removal company based in Mackay that has been moving Mackay for over 20 years. The team has 30 years plus experience in moving furniture. All loads are covered by one of Australia's largest insurers.

In 2020, customers voted Shaun Frater Removals a Top 3 Furniture Removal Company. The company offers Mackay local moves, intra and inter state moves using a large 6 wheel truck. A team of dedicated careful packers can be provided. Packing materials such as boxes, tape, and bubble wrap are available.

Punctual, well-organised crews and careful handling of belongings emerge as the most consistent themes in feedback about this Mackay removalist. Various customers describe interstate and local moves where furniture and cartons arrived without breakage or damage, crediting the packing skills of the team and the speed with which the work was completed. Communication is repeatedly praised, with questions answered promptly and customers kept informed before and during the job.

Named crew members such as Pat, Jane, Isiah, Glen, Izzy and Jordan are singled out for being friendly, cooperative and clearly capable, and reviewers note that the men worked fast, unpacking in a fraction of the time packing had taken. The company's principal, Shaun, is described as prompt and straightforward to deal with, and fair, reasonable rates for the distance travelled are mentioned as a positive.

Piano moves and household relocations between towns in the region feature among the jobs described. Alongside this praise, some accounts raise concerns about missing personal items after a move and about a piano delivery that was postponed on successive days, with damage said to have occurred during handling. Complaints also refer to cash payment taken before delivery without an invoice being issued. These issues are the main points of dissatisfaction raised by the less favourable reviews.
