Interstate Removals

Moved interstate over 9 weeks ago (edit: now 13 weeks) and still waiting for my remaining belongings to be delivered. Even offered a solution for them to deliver local with no resolution made. They can't even provide me detail of where my belonging are. Have now had to take legal action through VCAT. Have had phone calls screened, messages ignored, patronising messages, constant excuses and empty promises. I paid more for this service than alot of other companies as I thought this would ensure a smooth transition as they initially promised yet its been a complete headache from the start. They couldn't even pick up my belonging on the agreed date. Most unprofessional company I've EVER dealt with. Stay away! Would give a 0 if it were an option. Also note, not all of the reviews under this company are for the right company/branch... Visura Lokuges review - looks to be for a different company/branch as the only person in operations in Victoria is Troy.

Best removal company. I have booked with Mymovers first (Disgusting company) they took deposit did not finish my work. Troy from Interstate removals gave me quick reasonable quote and finish my job in 2 days from Melbourne to QLD. Very good professional drivers. On time and did all unloading in proper manner. Highly recommend.

Fantastic service I definitely recommend this company and the fair price. They even have insurance policies as an option to give you that extra peace of mind. I’ve moved interstate numerous times and each time has been a nightmare the companies I’ve used in the past where unprofessional aggressive misplace/ lost and damaged items. I booked an interstate removal from Melbourne to Hobart with this company. The pick up date was set for 6th Jan but the delivery address was still pending. The manager Troy was initially very helpful and accommodating, however admitted they would be using a subcontractor for the Hobart side. Oddly enough did not wish to disclose it until a deposit was paid. However, we had used this company a long time ago from NSW to VIC and it went smoothly so I trusted it would be fine. Unfortunately since the deposit was paid on the 23rd December, this company has not been able to be contacted. I now have a delivery address with a date for moving in to Hobart and have elderly parents with me and I have no idea how long to book a motel for. I also have no idea what time pick up on the 6th will be. Communication has been very poor with no message on answering machine if they are away for Christmas break and when they will return. The "emergency" mobile number has gone unanswered.

Troy and the team at Interstate Removals went above and beyond to coordinate our interstate move. It was a complicated job with various pick up locations and awkward items, but everything was collected and delivered on time with great care. I highly recommend their service, they made my life much easier with their professional and friendly approach to the whole job, from the first call to the end delivery. My move was that of a studio appartment and from Melbourne to Sydney. The move was prompt and efficient. It has been an absolute pleasure to work with such a professional company as Interstate Removals and will be sure to recommend to friends in Melbourne. thank you so much :) I am one happy customer!

Do not by any means use this company they will damage your goods and then hold your furniture at ransom saying it went over quote. It’s all a load of bull***. One of the most dodgey businesses I have ever dealt with, picked up my stuff no problem spoke to the driver upon pick up no issues. Once they were due I called the driver to see what time he would be arriving then told me not for another 2 days and then over the phone told me I owed them a further $600 as I went over the quoted price claiming I took up 23sqm. Threatening to take my stuff to storage until I paid the price. Playing the doggy game I let them deliver upon expecting another side deal for the driver of cash on delivery for a lower price really opening up what he was actually up to he agreed and they arrived a couple days late. That’s when the fun started asked for money otherwise furniture wasn’t coming off, after taking the keys out of the ignition and causing a scene having the main driver call me then finally giving into delivering my stuff. Didn’t end there most of my stuff was damaged stored absolutely ridiculously in the truck. I followed up with the company over emails and phone calls only to be laughed at and told will follow up it’s 7 months later there has been no investigation. This company will damage your furniture and try and rip you off where ever they can. Lucky I’m in construction and measured the space it took up coming in at 16 cubes rather that the 23 plus. Avoid this company at all costs
