I used BC Furniture Removals for my move from Southbank to Yarraville on 3 June. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. I do not know this company/people personally; my painter recommended them. Please DO NOT rely only on positive reviews—I made that mistake too!! This is not just about the cost for me anymore. I am very upset about how I was treated, and I will continue to follow up and report this matter if it is not resolved. I also want other people to be aware before booking them. During the move, I was also asked to pay into a separate account under “Steve’s Taxi Trucks”, which I later understood is linked to Atilla, even though Baris told me he manages everything. Cost was $880 inc GST, and the total I paid was $1,050 inc GST, because I am a nice person! During the move, the worker handling my TV refused to follow basic care and proper packing procedures. He would not remove the TV legs or place it back into its original box correctly. Instead, the TV was forced into the box unsafely, upside down, with parts still attached so the box could not close properly. This showed a clear lack of care and professionalism. I was concerned at the time but trusted him, as I simply wanted the job completed properly. Only their worker handled and placed the TV onto my TV unit. At the end of the move, I thanked the team, including Baris, before I noticed any issue with the TV screen! At that time, no visible damage was noticed. However, two days later when the TV was turned on with my electrician guy, we discovered that the screen was damaged. I have photo evidence taken immediately after discovering the issue. When I contacted Baris, he initially listened and said he would follow up with his father. A couple of days later, his father Atilla called me. That conversation was very disappointing. Instead of taking responsibility or properly investigating the issue, I was dismissed, spoken to rudely, and accused of dishonesty! After that, communication broke down. Atilla stopped responding to my messages, and I had to communicate only with Baris, who was inconsistent and unhelpful. Eventually, they stopped assisting altogether. What made this worse is that the company advertises itself as “fully insured”, yet I was told that insurance would not cover the damage. It has now been a couple of weeks, and I have tried multiple times to resolve this matter respectfully and directly, but I have been left with no solution and a damaged television caused during their service. Baris kept giving me too many excuses to get away from it! It would have been different if they had simply acknowledged the issue or offered some fair resolution. Instead, I was left with damage, no support, and disrespectful communication. Based on my horrible experience, I would NEVER recommend this company. I strongly advise anyone considering them to be very careful and ensure everything is properly documented before booking!! The father and son characters aren't very appealing, and being a true businessman isn't easy at all.

We have used BC Furniture Removals four times now and have been incredibly happy with each move. Our first move was 40km away, so I sent photos of what we needed to move and got a quote. It was very reasonable and there were no surprises when it came time to pay. They show up on time, are very efficient and easy to get along with, and take care with your belongings. Hiring them takes a lot of stress out of moving house.
