Dawsons Removals & Storage

Dawson's Removals & Storage is a family-run and family-owned removalist business founded in 1948 by Neville Dawson. Ownership passed to Neville's son Peter and his wife Bernadette in 2001. The company is a member of the Australian Furniture Removals Association (AFRA) and its team is AFRA-accredited. It provides local, interstate and international relocations, and offers secure container and module storage.

The company handles specialised and general freight, including vehicles, machinery, medical equipment and fragile goods. It serves households and businesses across Sydney, Bathurst, Dubbo and beyond. It delivers new furniture and fragile items for major department stores west of the Blue Mountains. Dawson's Removals & Storage can arrange Customer Goods in Transit and Storage Insurance. Its main services include removals, packing and unpacking, storage, insurance, commercial transport, and specialised and general freight.

Transporting furniture and household goods, including packing for long journeys and overseas shipping, sits at the centre of the work described by customers of Dawsons Removals & Storage. Several reviewers recount relocations within New South Wales, while one account covers the careful preparation of china and furniture moved from the central west to Sydney before being sent on to the United Kingdom. Something that features in review after review is the condition in which belongings arrive: items are described as reaching their destination in excellent shape, with fragile pieces packed so securely that even after a lengthy sea voyage they carried no chips or cracks.

Reviewers often mention the speed, friendliness and professional manner of the service, and the pricing is characterised as competitive for the work involved. The care taken with packing emerges as the strongest theme, particularly for delicate items such as china and furniture, and customers express clear intent to engage the team again for future moves. The combination of fast handling and meticulous protection of fragile goods runs through the feedback, with the safe arrival of an overseas shipment after months in transit standing out as the detail that captures how the business is regarded.
